WebEx, which is now part of Cisco, has recently launched a new version of MeetMeNow, its Web meeting service. MeetMeNow integrates data, voice and video so users can launch interactive online meetings from the desktop with Microsoft programs and multiple instant messaging services.

New in this version are personal video conferencing capabilities that enable users to create a face-to-face experience with MeetMeNow’s single-point video panel. Using this option users can broadcast video of the host, or any participant with a compatible webcam. Also new in this version is the ability to iniate one-click Web meetings from within the Microsoft Office productivity suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. MeetMeNow is priced at $49 per month and a 14-day trial can be obtained from the MeetMeNow Web site.
